These 1930's chairs were drying out and cracked, the leather was nourished to make it supple again. Cracks were then addressed by filling which takes several applications to build up areas. Pigment is then applied which is colour matched on-site, this again requires several layers to build up the base colour. A two-tone colour is then applied in order to blend in with original leather, now the leather restoration is complete its time to protect, layers of protection are applied securing the work which has been carried out.
A regular stain on lighter leather is denim dye transfer, depending on leather condition this can be either removed with specialist products or by covering with colour matched pigment
